Aug 7, 2012 - Yes, but you see, while insects could grow that large and not die due to the square cube law, they'd would have a lot of trouble breathing due to their respiration system. Unless there somehow was more oxygen in the atmosphere (which seems to be the opposite of what happens in fallout), they'd probably stay the same size.
Having said that, fallout is kind of making fun of what people in the 50's thought about radiation, yet again.
May 14, 2012 - 4:14 Love the acting there :D
5:38 XD
7:59 Small cut there :?
12:34 Haha love the sounds :D
13:57 XD
15:25 Oh I just LOVE your ending quotes XD
May 14, 2012 - Every creature (above water) is bound by the Square Cube Law.
You can only get so big when you have no bones holding you up on the inside.
That being said, bugs CAN physically get as big as in Falloutland.
But you're right about Bloatflies not being able to fly wit those tiny wings.
Nov 22, 2011 - unless the radiation makes it so they don't need that much oxygen to be big i am extremly glade i won't have to face giant scorpions in an apocolyptic wasteland
Oct 19, 2011 - ah ha! I knew that wasn't made up! I remember hearing that being mentioned in some nature programs. Not sure what it's called though. Perhaps the Courier's science skill is higher than one might suspect?
Oct 19, 2011 - You are right though, there is a law regarding the size of insect (and arthropods in general) they evolve bigger sizes depending on the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. Even nuclear radiation cannot make up for that.
Oct 19, 2011 - lol I just realised what you meant :P. yeah that's the standard animation for withdrawing a knife. There's a weapon in the game that's basically a flaming sword and he does the same thing... ouch
Oct 17, 2011 - Oh my! You're going crazy on those Boatflies with that knife. So hilarious!
