Kelly Parker Says:
Oct 7, 2013 - Even though I followed what Sarah said, I still struggle with casting on.
I'm new to knitting and I had to get someone to help me with the casting
on, as well as switching the needles around to get the next row done.

Jan 19, 2011 - @justinbplusme seriously? That was slow, how can she go slower?
May 30, 2010 - I watched many videos and couldn't get it until I watched this one Thanks
Sep 2, 2011 - Thank you SO much for your video!! The pace at which you cast on was
perfect, it was easy for me to understand. This seems like the best method
I have ever seen, it makes me wonder why my teacher never taught me this
way!, and now I regret I wasn't able to teach others how to do it this way!
Casting on was always the most tedious and frustrating portion of knitting
for me, and has prevented me from starting many projects, now I feel like I
am free and able to make lots of new things! Thank you!
Jun 19, 2010 - @Thor2915 Really? How can a knitting tutorial be "fake and gay"? She is
just showing people how to cast on!
Jul 24, 2012 - help i have watched this like 5 times and i do all the steps how they say
and show and i still end up with my stitch on my right needle i cant figure
out what i am doing wrong
Aug 19, 2011 - Thanks so much this video was awese! a little annoying that it didnt teach
the slipknot part though..

Jul 1, 2010 - @CallieInCanada agreed ;] slow and steady and wow i did it ><
Oct 18, 2009 - I just started knitting yesterday, and she seems to know what shes doing,
but It seems like a little time can be saved by not removing the right
needle every time. Seems to be working for me so far. I am new to this
though, so maybe when I'm all done with my blanket, it will explode or
Sep 3, 2011 - verry helpful, thank you verry much!!!! :)
Dec 31, 2011 - @Nanny6969 Then WHY on earth did you watch the video?!
Carolyn Galea Says:
Nov 12, 2011 - Got it first time! excellent tutorial!
Jan 24, 2009 - This is an excellent demonstration of the knitted cast on. I, personally,
find the "thumb method" of casting on tends to have the stitches looped
around the needle too tightly, which makes knitting the first row a little
difficult and ends up looking uneven.

Aug 3, 2013 - you make hats and stuff... scarves... socks.. useful when you are bored or
want to make something.
Nov 13, 2010 - i did not get that. good video just mabey a bit slower

Feb 19, 2011 - @sportyjenny19 Yes please.... i dont know how to make a slipknot either
Tina Sparkle Says:
Nov 18, 2011 - Excellent tutorial, thank you. Others have got me into a right tizz.
Barbara Patton Says:
Nov 8, 2010 - This method makes measureing the short yarn unnecessary so one does not
cast on 100 stitches out of 120 stitches and no more short yarn. I find
that the cast-on base is not as firm as the more traditional method.
Alexandra Manning Says:
Jun 7, 2012 - yeah, see this is how ive always done it, i just found out people cast on
with their hand!.. i was like.. you're kidding me? lol. But! it does give a
looser cast on.. hence why im out searching how to do it better..
Jul 10, 2010 - I must be dumb becasue I cant get the hang of.. I think its becasue im left
May 20, 2010 - YAAAY! This was so helpful! Thank you! :)
