May 1, 2013 - While I appreciate this intro and it would be great for another sci-fi show, this simply doesn't capture the emotion and genre of Firefly. The guitar, violin, and (correct me if I'm wrong) mandolin instrumental reflects the American-Western and Chinese influences pervasive throughout the show, as well as the words reflecting Mal's mission I love this though

Apr 29, 2013 - Technically, calling Serenity a 'starship' is kind of inappropriate. Starships, by their very nature have some form of FTL capability. The best the Firefly-class has is a temperamentally primitive impulse drive. Don't get me wrong, this fact doesn't detract greatly from these titles or the show in general. But those of us who've been spoiled by Star Trek, Andromeda, and Doctor Who over the years need some time to adjust. :P
