Dec 13, 2012 - Seems to me the Battery is the future,,but not when it comes to range! That's questionable as a battery that can supply distance/range is problematic. But batteries have always proved themselves capable for short range commutes. In the meantime it seems range extenders are the best solution for range anxiety!

Feb 12, 2012 - Disagree with your premise. Less damage to the environment is better, nobody said it is best. Can't get from where we are to best in one step, must go to better first, i.e. cars like this. However, recognizing that there is nothing truly gamechanging in this car, it would have to be the People's Car at the People's Price to get it into my driveway, and the people's is hurting.
Feb 11, 2012 - Atomic power in one way or the other is the only long term solution, be it from fission pile steam power, or thermal solar power that's tapping into nearest source of sustained nuclear fusion (Sol) or hydrogen power. Electric cars still need minerals that use huge amounts of petroleum to mine, refine, and transport them, sometimes more so than with petroleum fuel cars or hydrogen cars, and the majority of our electricity comes from combustion or dangerous nukes, or nuke shut down.
Feb 8, 2012 - Nope. Never will. They should be outlawed. Twice the parts and they take far more energy to produce solely to pacify people that want to think they are helping. The issue is black and white, there is no grey for me. We are part of the problem or part of the answer. I think many are fooled into the idea that doing less damage to the environment is better somehow. That is like saying a little less cancer will make you a little less dead.

The only thing I would be worried about is where I would "fuel up". There aren't as many recharge stations nation-wide (I'm talking about the US) as there should be, so I think that that might be a difficult challenge if things stay the way they are.

Jan 16, 2012 - the whole trip of a electric car depends on where and HOW and when one can charge up.does one geta cable to plug into the mains at hom or what to do when after a long drive parked in street how then to charge up running out of amps cant keep a can of juice in boot for this motor.Needs power points nationwide.I love the idea of electric car .my fav was Tesla's that drew ambeant power from eather... mmmm. perhaps the car could link with SEG power units on board. wishfull thinking.
