Jul 21, 2010 - yes the thermal cut out could cause that. First check the switch for continuity. It should have continuity when pressed and none when off. If it checks out good check the rest of the thermal fuses.

Jul 21, 2010 - I have watched several videos but nobody addresses the start button. I push my start button in and the dryer will start but as soon as i release the button the dryer stops. would on of these thermostats you talked about have a safety shut on to not allow the dryer to continue running? or is it my on off switch.

Apr 19, 2010 - Just shut off the gas first. Do not use teflon tape on the gas line when reconnecting. Check for leaks with soapy water while dryer is running.
