Apr 1, 2012 - Needles are facing 9:00 for the cast on and at 3:00 for the knitting. Are y
ou using the magic loop?
Feb 11, 2012 - Thanks for this video. I am working on my second pair of toe-up socks and
still need your video to get me started!
Feb 12, 2012 - Great explanation. Thank you.
May 14, 2012 - Not familiar with the closed toe cast on but this one works like a charm.
Good luck with the socks!
Feb 3, 2011 - @dwink1993 Try tightening the stitch after the kfb - it is this stitch that
tightens up the kfb. You could use a make one instead of the kfb. Try my
Make One video. Hope this helps!
Jul 11, 2010 - @sicplano I'm glad to help. Send me a pic of the finished socks! Happy
Oct 8, 2011 - Thank you so much. I could never have done this cast on without your
tutorial. I am very excited to make my first pair of toe up socks.
Aug 26, 2011 - Thank you for your video. It is the best one I have seen explaining Judy
Technique. Note I have just knitted my first ever sock on magic loop.;)
Apr 28, 2013 - Are there patterns for knooking. What advantages does it have over knitting?
Sep 16, 2011 - Very nice! Thank you :-)

Apr 25, 2012 - I have a bit of trouble at 3:25. I twist my yarn but as I begin to work the
other row, this end piece doesn't want to stay. I try to work around it,
but that side has a long loopy gap I can't seem to close. Other than that
trouble I'm having this is an EXCELLENT video!! Thank you for your kind
help and easy explanations! :)
Apr 25, 2012 - You must twist the last cast on stitch and the tail to prevent it from
running away. Let me know how you make out!

Dec 29, 2010 - Great tutorial. Thanks so much. I'm a novice knitter working on a cover for
my kindle. Your instructions were so very clear for Judy's Magic Cast-On.
Also, not having worked in the round before, I appreciated that you took
the tutorial through 2 full rounds. I'll be back for more lessons!
Sep 4, 2012 - Wow, what a wonderful tutorial, I am looking forward to knitting socks as
my next project, I practiced another technique but this makes more sense,
no seam, this also does the magic loop in the direction I'm used to. Thank

I link to this from my blog?
Feb 21, 2012 - Thank you for this great video. It is nice and clear and goes at the right
pace for a beginner to pick up this technique. Five Stars!
Oct 19, 2010 - Thank you so much! I, too, have a toe up sock book and the illustrations
(altho explain the process well...) are still confusing. Seeing it done is
something else. It's a smack your head and say eureka moment!

Jan 3, 2012 - i've tried it five times and it still isn't working.
Mar 12, 2011 - @dedel43 Absolutely. The easiest way to do this is to knit a portion of one
toe and then place it on a holder. Start the 2nd toe to the same point and
then put both socks on the one needle.
