Cannibis Sativa Says:

May 19, 2013 - We are all being microwaved with our atmosphere.

Cannibis Sativa Says:

May 19, 2013 - Earths atmosphere has been converted into a microwave oven set on low.

May 19, 2013 - some U.S soldiers were once given pre-microwaved water that was 5 days old. They got sick. If you give plants microwaved water. 5 days later the plants will die. You can try this yourself... And by saying the plants die. You are probably killing cells, which cells are in our blood and if cells die but live on cancer is formed. It is pretty rare that microwaves can possibly cause cancer but prolonged exposure to things like this may result in cancer

May 17, 2013 - this is very important for me. I now know that engineering is not for me!

TheAplombMan Says:

May 17, 2013 - no

Mazza Vega Says:

May 16, 2013 - but why does it only heat the water molecules?

ijfharvey Says:

May 15, 2013 - i think your reaction is psychosomatic.

ijfharvey Says:

May 15, 2013 - no

Weiszcracker Says:

May 14, 2013 - I still feel strange when I stand in front of my microwave while it cooks my food....could it be leaking ?

smashlab119 Says:

May 14, 2013 - cool video

GETTOO THACHAAPA Says:

May 13, 2013 - ISP what you should do when heating in a microwave is place your food on the outside of the rotating plate

owenoj Says:

May 12, 2013 - Eat microwaves? Seriously? That's just as stupid as saying "If you eat lightning"

owenoj Says:

May 12, 2013 - No, it's perfectly safe. However make sure all the food is cooked and there are no raw parts.

R N Says:

May 6, 2013 - yes, if your eat enough microwaves they can give you cancer.

Romeo Alexandrw Says:

May 6, 2013 - thanks very much for this video!

Sam's Classic TV & Movies Says:

May 5, 2013 - put an uncracked egg in the microwave. Warring if you do it will explode and make 1 he!! of a mess. Try it

ianovaril Says:

Apr 29, 2013 - It's a common misconception that microwaves "irradiate food" due to microwaves being a form of "radiation." In actuality, as Bill talks about in the video, microwaves causes water molecules to spin, and thus heat your food by way of friction. Microwaves as a form of radiation actually have less energy than visible light, and so are not going to irradiate your food, or by extension, give you cancer. In short; no they cannot. Enjoy your quickly cooked food!

jachvideos Says:

Apr 28, 2013 - well thank you for the info

Fredsta Conga Says:

Apr 28, 2013 - Thumbs up if sauce brought you here!

Dorkus89Malorkus Says:

Apr 27, 2013 - No. You're entirely correct. People often get confused because UV light is a leading cause for cancer while it's technically not considered ionizing. But the carcinogenic mechanism of UV is very much like ionizing radiation. This is because UV lies in between ionizing and non-ionizing so it actually does produce some ionizing radiation. Hope that helps.

Antony Hamilton Says:

Apr 27, 2013 - As, I said, they have about the same chance as gibing cancer as light and radio waves. It's unlikely you'd be exposed to such an intensity in day to day life without noticing.

GRAYgoose124 Says:

Apr 27, 2013 - (Also, enough heat will result in effects reminiscent of ionizing radiation)

GRAYgoose124 Says:

Apr 27, 2013 - Paranoia.

GRAYgoose124 Says:

Apr 27, 2013 - While non-ionizing radiation can cause cancer from high-intensity beams, the bandwidth of radio waves and microwaves used don't have enough energy to heat up your body to the point of electron loss(etc). You should consider that if the microwave only has enough power to vibrate the water, why would it have enough power to tear electrons off of us? We're 70% water, and all the other elements in us also like their electrons quite a bit too. It is possible that some microwaves have enough energy.
