Sure, the Geth and Edi will die, but you have to remember synthetics were made by organics, so they could do it all over again. Plus that little shit lied. Not all synthetics would die, for example Shepard is partially synthetic, though he he's still alive with enough EMS. Tali is also partially synthetic, Garrus, and others. That little shit made the Destroy ending look like a bad idea and the control one good.

Sep 17, 2012 - Relax bro. When you get a high EMS to access Synthesis in the first place, I saw that as in invitation from the Reapers to basically join them. This cycle was deemed worthy enough to evolve to higher form. Notice when you reject Glitterchild outright and say "we have enough power to beat you" you end up telling the next cycle how badly your ass was handed to you? It puts the whole EMS bit you mentioned to shame: no you can't beat the reapers without the reapers help. Two endings tell you this.
